What sort of D-Sub connectors does this work with?
- It works with crimp type D-Sub connectors with removable backshells. You cannot use this to depin a solder cup D-Sub or one with an overmolded cable such as our tuning cable.
What are the two different ends for?
- The larger diameter end is for removing female pins (such as on the MS3X harness) and the smaller diameter is for removing male pins (such as the ones on the main board harness).
How do I use this to remove pins from my harness?
- Remove the backshell from the D-sub connector. Insert the tool into the D-Sub from the front, and you can remove the pin from the back (the side the wires plug into). Be careful not to bend the tool sideways or push too hard as its thin tubing is easy to break.
