Description

The IGN-1FD coil is sized for Ford modular motors for some extra spark compared to stock. Basically, this is a hotter clone of the Motorcraft DG508. Designed to fit 2000-2004 Mustang GT and 2001-2004 Mustang Cobra as well as many trucks, Crown Victorias, and other modular motors. Requires a spark plug boot, not included but available at most auto parts stores if you need new ones. Give your mod motor more spark, or put coil on plug on an engine that never originally had it.
Here are the specifications.
Recommended coil dwell: 1.2 to 2.5 ms
Maximum dwell: 2.85 ms
Primary resistance: 0.5 – 0.52 omhs
Primary inductance: 1.413-1.418 mH
Maximum current: 7.11 amps at 2.85 ms dwell
Max spark output: 36 mJ

    I just purchased the MS3-Pro Ultimate from you guys and was wondering if these IGN-1FD coils need any external ignition module(s) and/or modification to work on a 6 cylinder motor. If so, how and what ignition modules do I need to wire in to my circuit? Used to run wasted spark ignition via MS2/extra, using 3 BIP373 transistors. Thank you guys.

    You will want to use our QuadSpark ignition modules. One QuadSpark can run up to four of these coils.
